What if you could explore the wilderness...

Capture the beauty of America's wild places through beginner and intermediate-level watercolor projects.

...from your kitchen table?

Yes, you can paint some of the most beautiful wonders of the world...

Yes please

...and maybe you could use an adventure buddy?

Hello, my friend!
I'm Kolbie, a self-taught watercolor artist...

...and I'm on a mission to get you painting!

Growing up, I wasn't one of those kids who loved crafts and sketched everything in sight -- far from it, I thought making visual art of any kind was not in the cards for me!

So, believe me when I say that I know how you feel when you claim to be "not an artist" -- that's how I know there might be more to your creative talents than you know right now. I'd be honored to help you explore!

More about me

"Like a watercolor postcard."

"Like a watercolor postcard from every national park you wish you could visit, that YOU get to create. This book is both beautiful and beautifully guided. Kolbie makes the journey feel easy and inspiring."

"Another stunning book from kolbie."

“Another stunning book from Kolbie! Her well-written instructions and gorgeous imagery invites artists of all levels to slow down, observe, and connect with the natural world through watercolor.”

“Approachable and playful"

"Kolbie's book is easy to follow, light-hearted, engaging and full of all the things we want to paint to celebrate the beauty of our National Parks! Trees, rocks, mountains and lakes: Kolbie breaks each landscape formation down to help everyone SEE the magic of this art unfold before your own paintbrush!”

Breaking down the basics

Need a little help getting started? Chapter One is all about breaking down watercolor supplies and basic techniques (for both watercolor in general and landscapes specifically) so you can dive into the projects with confidence -- even if you're a complete beginner.

Mountains

We'll spend a few projects meandering in the mountains, with four projects focused on America's most majestic peaks!

Forests

You can't capture America's beauty without getting lost in the woods! There's a whole chapter dedicated some some of the most breathtaking forests and trees.

Wildlife

A new element for me in this book: wildlife! Many parks are known for unique creatures that make our world even more astounding, and we'll practice including doable illustrations of them in our landscape paintings.

Bonus projects

There are five whole projects I wrote and painted that didn't make the cut for the book -- so we turned them into a bonus e-book just for you! Show me your proof of purchase, and I'll send you the bonus e-book, totally free (after December 2nd).

Old Faithful

I recorded a short tutorial for the "Old Faithful" project! It's a pre-recorded video, and the perfect companion to the instructions in the book!

live workshop

Join me for a LIVE workshop this December, where I'll paint one of the bonus projects that didn't make it in the book: Bryce Canyon!

"But what if my projects don't look like yours? There's no way I can paint like that..."

- me, 5 years ago

Look, when it comes to loud inner critics, mine comes with a megaphone and a foghorn -- I know what it's like to have a voice constantly reminding you how much you're not doing.

The truth is that your projects probably won't look like mine -- because they're yours. And that's exactly what makes them so special.

Creativity isn't about results, making masterpieces -- it's about celebrating how magical this moment can be, right here, exactly as you are. It's about the tiny moments of wonder that happen when colors blend and ideas flow. Creativity is for you, not for anyone else.

YOU ARE WORTHY OF CELEBRATION, EXACTLY AS YOU ARE.
